The Agriculture Departmental Stamp Designs of 1873

Plates of 100 stamps - Perforated 12 - Issued July 3, 1873 Printed by the Continental Bank Note Company on "thin, hard" whitish paper Scroll over the image to get the Scott number of the stamp illustrated.

The Continental Agriculture stamps range in color from yellow to golden yellow to olive yellow. The 1¢ and 3¢ Agriculture officials were also issued in 1879 by the American Bank Note Company on soft porous paper and are found in yellow only.
