(1) These stamps are very similar to and should not be confused
with the common perf 11 stamps, Scott 552 and 554. Since they were
printed on the rotary press rather than by the flat plate method, they
will measure either slightly taller (sheet waste) or slightly wider
(coil waste). See the
methods of printing page for more information on how to
distinguish flat plate from rotary press printings.
