The Farley Issues of 1935 - Scott 769
On sale at the Philatelic Agency in Washington, D.C. from March 15 through June 15, 1935

Scott 751a - 1c National Park Souvenir Pair Scott 769a - 1c National Park Souvenir Pair Farley Issue
Scott 751a

Scott 769a

As can be seen in the images above, it is impossible to distinguish the Farley reprint from the regularly issued commemorative from a single stamp, unless the stamp has a wide margin, about 23 mm. The distance between the stamps in the Farley pair shown is of course 23 mm. Any difference in shade is incidental.

Scott 769 was issued as a sheet of 120 stamps, printed by the flat plate method, with 20 panes of 6 stamps separated by 23 mm gutters. This Souvenir Sheet is most appropriately collected as a pane of 6 stamps, as shown below. It can not be determined if the illustrated sheet is the original or the Farley reprint, since there is no 23 mm wide margin. Therefore, the following sheet must be assumed to be Scott 751 and not Scott 769.
